After the incident, Annie Lederman was familiar with several of her students who were that were involved in drug deals as well as other crimes. When she graduated of high school at age of seventeen, Annie Lederman spent the next year volunteering, initially helping dolphins train in Hawaii as well as working for a nonprofit organization that was based in Central America aiding disadvantaged children.
