Ortiz is half Mexican descendant from his paternal line, is half Mexican. His father was Sam Ortiz, who gave him the nickname Tito. Both his parents were addicts to heroin, which made it difficult for him to grow up. He was part of the gangs. He also used drugs such as cocaine. As a child, he was sent to the juvenile halls. When he was 13 his parents divorced. He went to Huntington Beach High School and wrestled. He was just 18 when his mother kicked him out.
